Keju Luo 罗可居 was born in Kunming, China. Growing up during the final years of the dakou era, he was deeply influenced by rock music of the late 90s and early 2000s. He played with several bands in Beijing in the early 2010s. 

Active as Broken Thoughts since 2011, he makes dark and brooding music that incorporates sample-based drones and delicate beat structures. 

As a film composer and sound designer, he has worked with some of China's top directors and animation artists. Films he has worked on have been shown worldwide at festivals such as Berlin, Venice, Rotterdam, and Annecy.

He currently lives in Los Angeles.
